Throughout a career spanning more than 34 years, Charlie has been helping clients achieve their financial objectives as they work to fulfill their most important life goals. His interest in the investment world was inspired by the mentorship he received from his great-uncle, who was a partner at an investment firm in Buffalo, NY. Since then, his commitment to client satisfaction has only grown, allowing him to focus on serving their best interests through comprehensive and personalized retirement planning and strategic portfolio management.
Prior to becoming a full independent RIA, Charlie and his team were affiliated with Raymond James from 2015 to 2020. Charlie has also held high-level roles with Kidder, Peabody & Co.; Paine Webber; A.G. Edwards; and Janney Montgomery Scott. Charlie graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in speech communication, going on to earn his M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Active in his community, Charlie serves as treasurer for the Ausable River Association and as a board member for the Lake Placid Outing Club.
Charlie makes his home in Keene; he and his wife, Sofie VanOlmen, have twins Sam and Schuyler. He uses his free time for athletic pursuits, having competed in multiple Ironman Triathlete World Championships, ultra-running races, the Leadville 100, and paddling events such as the Adirondack Canoe Classic (90-Miler). In 1972 Charlie competed in the Olympic trials for whitewater kayaking in the slalom event.
